About
Caroline Friday grew up in North Carolina and has lived in Washington D.C., Chicago, London, and Atlanta. Although both a high school English teacher and a professor at the University of North Carolina recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue writing, it wasn’t until later in life that she fully embraced her passion for storytelling.
She majored in accounting and initially built a successful career in retail, eventually managing the largest store in the chain. Later, she returned to school and earned a JD/MBA from Wake Forest University, where she also met her husband.
Caroline began practicing securities and corporate law at a firm in Chicago. When her husband was transferred to London, she moved with him—an experience that proved life-changing. Surrounded by the rich literary and theatrical culture of the city, her creativity was reignited. Determined to approach writing with the same dedication she brought to every aspect of her life, she enrolled at the University of London and immersed herself in writing courses. There, she not only honed her craft but also built a vibrant community of fellow writers and regularly attended West End plays and musicals.
After five years in London, Caroline returned to the U.S. and began writing daily once her children were off to school. She started with screenplays, placed highly in several competitions, won a major screenwriting award, and even had one optioned by a studio, though it wasn’t produced—period westerns just weren’t in demand at the time (timing is everything… Yellowstone, anyone?).
Eventually, Caroline shifted her focus to novels and discovered her true calling. She writes stories that stir the soul—books that grab readers from the first page, keep them hooked until the very end, and linger in their minds long after the final chapter. Her work is crafted to entertain, inspire, and provoke thought.
